Harvesting Configuration Options

This section is used to manage your Configuration Files

Current Configuration File

This shows the current configuration file, if you have loaded other configuration files they will be available by selecting the drop-down.

Create New File

Opens the 'Create Harvest Configuration' dialogue. You can select a Yarder and a Carriage from the database, as you make your selection the specifications for these machines will populate the information fields. These fields are not editable, to make changes you need to create your own Yarder or Carriage.  You can however alter the default Cables associated with the selected Yarder as part of the configuration file if you need to.

You can enter figures in the white text boxes.

When you have entered all the information for your new configuration select the 'Save' button, in the save as dialogue box navigate to the location you want to save the configuration file in and give it a descriptive name. Select Save to complete the creation of the Harvest Configuration file

This opens the standard 'Windows' 'Open' dialogue. You can navigate to your local file system and load an existing 'CHPS Harvesting Config File'

Remove File

This removes the currently selected Harvesting Configuration file from the application.

Please note: This does not delete the Harvesting Configuration file from your local file system therefore it can be loaded again as required.

Database Options

This section is used to manage the machinery in your database

The description below applies to the Yarder, Carriage and Cable options

Add <machinery type>

Select the Add <machinery type> that you would like to create, a new dialogue will open to enable you to create the new machinery type. When you have entered the appropriate information in all the fields select 'Save'. The new type is now available to use in CHPS.  You can base your new type on one of the existing machines in the database already.  For example, if you had a machine that was modified, you could base it on the original machine, then change the values to account for the modifications, and save it for use within CHPS.

It is important to note that this is saving the new machinery type to your database. If you are using SQL Compact this is stored on your local machine, if you are using SQL Express or Enterprise this machine may be available to all other CHPS users in your organisation

Remove <machinery type>

Select the Remove <machinery type> option, this opens a new Remove dialogue. In the Remove dialogue a list of all available items is populated, to remove one, select it and select 'Remove'

It is important to note that this is removing the machinery type from your database. If you are using SQL Compact this is stored on your local machine, if you are using SQL Express or Enterprise  this will remove the type so no CHPS users in your organisation will be able to use it.

Important Note:

You can only delete custom machines.  You cannot delete any of the default machines that come with CHPS.

For more information on your database type see Setup your database connection

User Configuration Options

You can reset your configuration to the default user options at any time by selecting the 'Restore Default User Configuration Options' button
